  Beautifully decorated, perfectly located weekend or week get-a-way. We had so much fun. We had two families in unit 1 and there was plenty of room. A finished basement for the boys to rough-house in. The deck was quite large with a rustic picnic table and a large grill. The town home is fully furnished... you just bring the food. We walked in and it was so clean. But warning Adirondack housing don't have A/C so you might sweat in the summertime. The beach is 500 yards away... just enough to enjoy, but far away enough not to be a nucence. The beach has bands, boat rentals, fire pits, AN OUTSIDE SHOWER!!!! A BEAUTIFUL VIEW!!! Lifeguard for swimming We plan to make this "our little place". With Adirondack Love David

• Review of "Whiteface Suites & Cabins" at Wilmington

  My family had such a pleasant experience at Whiteface Suites and Cabins this Labor Day weekend (2016). Our large cabin did not look like a typical "log" cabin that we used to camp in rather it was like a little ranch home. The owners (Larry Hegele and wife) had done lots of work to fix the cabin to accommodate a large group size (8 people). The cabin has a nice size living room with a small flat screen TV (which we did not use either), a fireplace, two futons, a coffee table, and towards the kitchen it has a little dining room table, a small fridge tucked against the wall. The kitchen is rather small and cute. It has a nice size table and benches that can fit up to 4 people nicely. It has a cute little stove with oven built in and a nice size sink. Unfortunately, no microwave there, but there is a coffee pot and toaster oven. Hopefully the Mr. and Mrs. Hegele will consider adding a microwave in the kitchen in the future. The bedroom with the queen size bed is the size of the living room. The other bedroom has one set of bunk beds (two twin size beds) and shelves to store linens and things. There are two small identical bathrooms which made it quite convenient for 8 people. Although linens are provided, but we decided to use our own. The small and large cabins are next to each other a little inside from the main road. From the cabins you can walk to the small public beach right next to it. Unfortunately our schedule was quite packed so we did not get to use the boats that were available for us to use during our stay. The cabin is nice and clean. It looks so much better than the photos on their website. I would definitely come back here again should we ever decide to go hiking on Whiteface Mountain again. That was also an awesome experience. We also visited Lake Placid (nice restaurants with delicious foods) and High Falls Gorge (had to pay to go in, but the views were worth seeing).
